FAST Systems AG joins the USA National Safe Skies Alliance

Zürich, Switzerland – November 23, 2020 – FAST Systems AG is thrilled to announce that it has been accepted, with immediate effect, as a member of the USA National Safe Skies Alliance, Inc. (“Safe Skies”).
Safe Skies is a non-profit organization that works with airports, government, and industry to maintain a safe and effective aviation security system. Since 1997, the alliance has been a trusted resource for decision makers seeking impartial information on airport security technologies and procedures. Funding for Safe Skies’ programs is provided by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The Safe Skies Oversight Committee approves applied research projects and sets Safe Skies' testing program priorities. The Oversight Committee includes representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA), Airport Consultants Council (ACC), and Airlines for America (A4A).
Besides the challenging economical environment in 2020 aviation security organizations around the world look to the future, airport designs are being optimized to protect against attacks and to incorporate new technologies, like facial recognition, AI and lawful interception solutions, to supplement existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and to identify threats faster than ever before. The continuous threat of terrorists attacks, along with innovations in technology, policy and design principles, are changing airport security concepts around the globe.
A recent report from Zion Market Research said: "Airport security includes several methods and techniques used to protect staff, passengers, and planes from malicious and/or accidental harm, threats, and other crime. Airport security is together the combination of material resources and human to protect the civil aviation from illegal interference. Illegal interference includes acts of sabotage, terrorism, threat to property and life, communicating wrong threat, bombing, and so on.". The report projects that the global airport security market to grow from approximately USD 10.71 Billion in 2019 to a new record revenue worth USD 17.43 Billion by 2026.
